Ground anchor traction tool pulling system for space, agricuture, energy & construction
Solutions covered include:
- A novel tool pulling drill guided ground anchor traction based tool pulling solution - a use case specific replacement for:
- large farm tractors
- Enables the not currently possible cost competitive electrification of mainstream machines (125kW / 168hp and above)
- Modularity enables both increased productivity by enabling the use of wider farm implements as well as reduced business risk in the event of breakdowns during narrow weather dependant windows for cultivation, seeding, spraying and harvesting operations.
- Reduced ground compaction
- construction & mining excavators
- A next generation agrivoltaics solution enabled by the tool pulling solution.
- Other complimentary solutions - more details can be provided on request.
The solutions have been validated by Cranfield Uiversity have the potential to provide licencees or buyers with a long term competitive advantage which for manufacturers and brands should help enable market acquisition and retention as well as the ability to win high value contracts.
This portfolio of patents and technical/commercial know how that will be provided alongside it covers solutions address the following problems improving revenues, CapEx, OpEx and emissions for the following industries:
- Space colonisation - reducing transport costs ($4bn/kg to Mars and $1.2m/kg to the moon) - with weight and productivity improvements over current best of breed alternatives to enable:
- regolith mining for in-situ breathable oxygen and return journey hydrogen fuel production.
- regolith movement to provide habitat radiation shielding and meteorite protection.
- tall lander - equipment and personnel embarking and disembarlking solution.
- Agriculture & Energy - reduces climate impact, labour, energy and chemical inputs.
- Infrastructure construction - electrical grid build out, flood defences.
- Consruction - increasing margins on residential and commercial building projects.
The TractorBots solution uses novel force application methods to move tools and collected materials that are over 100x its own weight. Field tested prototypes weighing under 100kg constructed from non optimal materials have pulled over 3500 kg in field trials under earth gravity.
The solution uses a novel approach different from current agricultural, excavatipon and mining solutions. It was created with an in depth knowledge of current prior art, but does not specifically address a gap it in as such.
- SPACE SECTOR
- Very well suited to low gravity environments.
- Near term revenue potential - can reduce risk and increases capabilities for upcoming lunar and mars mission exploration rovers.
- AG+ENERGY SECTOR
- Dimunitive size enables low head height utility scale agri-solar greenhouse to maximise revenues, minimise chemical and water use
- Reduced energy consumption and autonomy can help maximise cost reduction, market acquisition and retention.
